"Resilient organisation - one who can carry on delivering their primary objectives (customer service, sales, production etc.) despite and throughout internal or external setbacks.

One whose people and systems and peoples behaviours are both robust enough and flexible enough to survive when times get tough, especially through unforeseen difficulties because they have sufficient inner resources to weather a storm and keep delivering.

Resilient person / team - keeps on succeeding, sees challenges as an opportunity for creativity. When things go wrong, learn from that and work to put things right and make them better instead of behaving like a victim or demanding the world's sympathy and attention. Remembers that the truth of the long term goals are more important than the trivialities of today."

"For me a resilient workforce is one that is not only able to react appropriately, efficiently and effectively to the challenges presented in todays world, but is one that is able to rise, respond and adapt completely to it, drawing on all the resources available (both individual and organisational).  Walking away from the challenge unchanged, stronger and more confident from the experience."
